I love explaining things. When I encounter an idea that feels beautiful or surprising, my instinct is to figure out how to share it. Making videos is one way I do that.
An explainer on an algorithm from a master’s course at UvA. The target audience is mathematicians — but I’ve tried to make it approachable even without a deep math background.

I make these videos because I find something worth sharing, not to a schedule. The process of making an explainer also forces you to understand something at a deeper level than just knowing it — you have to understand it well enough to give it to someone else.

The question I keep coming back to is: how do you explain something so it sticks? Not just so someone can repeat it — but so they actually feel it. That question is what drives my teaching, my videos, and most of my conversations.
